“Zenit” responded to the prosecution because of the concerts of Kanye West

In St. Petersburg football club “Zenit” did not receive data on involvement in the trial associated with the concert of American rapper Kanye West at the “Gazprom Arena”. This was reported by RBC Sport in the press service of the club.

“We have received neither material nor a summons in this case. We assume that at the request of one of the defendants, the court attracted the club by a third person who does not declare independent claims regarding the subject of the dispute. We will try to provide all the necessary information for a comprehensive and objective consideration of the situation. Once again, neither the club nor the arena have anything to do with the processes of ticket sales and the organization of the event, Zenit said.

Earlier, on October 23, it became known that FC Zenit and Gazprom Arena LLC were involved in litigation as third parties due to the cancellation of Kanye West concerts.

In August, concert director Kanye West announced that the rapper will give two concerts in St. Petersburg, on October 10 and 11, at Gazprom Arena, the home stadium of Zenit. Tickets went on sale, an announcement was posted. Later, the venue said that it was not the organizer of the show and did not enter into a contract for its holding. Later, the poster of the speech disappeared from the Gazprom Arena website.

Rospotrebnadzor issued a warning to the organizers of West concerts. The reason was the sale of tickets for events in the absence of a contract with the concert venue.

In late September, a source close to the administration of St. Petersburg, said that the concerts will not take place, as “the agreement was not reached”. Soon, the organizers, Say Agency, officially confirmed the cancellation of the concerts and announced that the opportunity to refund tickets will open on October 12.
