Russia won the second match in a row at the first FIFA tournament since 2022
The Russian youth team defeated Sierra Leone 7-0 in the FIFA tournament for players under 15 years old. Later on Sunday, the Russians will play with the Djibouti team
Footballers of the Russian youth team defeated the Sierra Leone team at the World Cup and the FIFA festival among players under 15 years old, which is held in Azerbaijan. This is the first official FIFA tournament for Russia since 2022, the team competes under the national flag.
The team of Denis Pervushin won with the score 7: 0. The double was issued by Ilya Brave and Arsen Bestayev, the goal scored by Alexander Olkhovsky, Ivan Kazakevich and Matvey Abdulkhalikov.
The tournament games are held in 8x8 format and consist of two halves of 20 minutes.
The Russian national team won the second victory in a row and later on Sunday will play against the Djibouti team.
Russian national teams and clubs have been suspended by FIFA and UEFA since 2022 due to the military operation in Ukraine.
