Belarusian judokas won gold and bronze at the Asian Cup stage in Aktau

At the stage of the Asian Judo Cup in Kazakhstan’s Aktau, Belarusian athletes rose to the podium, BelTA writes.

In the final, Daria Kontsevaya defeated Uzbek judoka Shynar Ibraeva. On the way to the decisive match, the Belarusian defeated one representative of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Earlier this year, Daria was already the winner of the European Cup stage in North Macedonia.

The bronze award in Aktau was taken by Polina Slesarenko: in the fight for third place she defeated Nurai Zhengis from Kazakhstan.

In total, 180 judokas from seven countries performed at the Asian Cup stage. Belarus was represented by six athletes.
