More than 2700 women of Chuvashia took part in the Spartakiad “Grazia Village”

In the village of Ishley, Cheboksary district, the final of the first Republican Spartakiad among women "Gration of the village" was held. The competition was timed to the Day of rural women, established in 2026 on the initiative of the Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev.

For two weeks, more than 2,700 participants from 21 municipalities competed in volleyball, darts, checkers and the implementation of GTO standards. Winners and prize-winners were awarded by the Ministry of Sport of the Republic.

Oleg Nikolaev congratulated the finalists and noted that the high interest in the Spartakiad confirms the desire of rural women to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. According to Vasily Petrov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Chuvashia, the event showed the demand for sports initiatives in municipalities.

In the relay GTO won the team of the Cheboksary district. The second place was taken by the athletes of the Civil District, the third – by the Batyrev district team.

Special award “Keeper of traditions and sports spirit” was received by 78-year-old Lyudmila Mikhutkina from Krasnochetaisky district. In the nomination “Future of the native land” noted the youngest participant – eight-year-old Olesya Kuznetsova from the Red Army district.

Natalia Nikolaeva, Chairman of the Chuvashia Women’s Union, stressed that the Spartakiad united women who showed themselves not only in professional activities, but also in sports: The fact that we are together is worthy of respect, recognition and an indicator that a woman is beautiful in any of her roles.
