Kalmykia wrestlers took part in the international tournament

In Moscow, the X international tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling among young men “Victory League” was held.

More than a thousand young wrestlers aged 5 to 16 years represented all regions of Russia and 10 foreign countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, India and Turkey.

The tournament was held under the curatorship of the legends of domestic sports: three-time Olympic champion Alexander Karelin, two-time Olympic champion Roman Vlasov and President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Mikhail Mamiashvili. Among the guests were heads of regions, ministers of sports, as well as ambassadors of participating countries. The guest of honor is five-time Olympic champion Mihain Lopez (Cuba).

In the competitions, students of the Republican Sports School of the Olympic Wrestling Reserve named after T. L. Baldashinov successfully performed. Third place in their weight categories was taken by Chingis Olsyatiev and Dolgan Badmayev. The first place in the category up to 25 kg was taken by a pupil of the republican children's and youth sports school Sanal Bukhakov, bronze medals from Aldar Chuzhdaev and Ruslan Deinikin.
