Karelian athletes won the gold of the special Cup of Russia

In Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, the Russian Cup in sports of persons with musculoskeletal defeat (PODA) in the discipline of “sport orientation” was held.

The national team of the Republic of Karelia won gold in team competitions and three prizes in personal starts!

It is especially pleasant to note that among the prize-winners are athletes-instructors of the Center for Sports Training of the Republic of Karelia.

The winners of the team competitions were:

• Faridun Salimzoda – athlete-instructor of the CSP

• Trofim Alekseev – athlete-instructor of the CSP

Barbara Pavlov.

The fight for first place was particularly tense. The Karelian team was ahead of the national team of the Sverdlovsk region by only one point! It was this minimal advantage that brought our athletes victory in the Cup of Russia.

In personal competitions, representatives of Karelia also achieved excellent results:

Danila Vasiliev - athlete-instructor of the CSP, 2nd place. One of the leaders of the team managed to show a high result, despite the cold.

Barbara Pavlova - 2nd place among women.

Trofim Alekseev - 3rd place.
