The course for victory: the champions of Tenzor Elite Cup 2026 were determined on the Minsk Sea

The Grand Final of the international sailing series Tenzor Elite Cup 2026 ended in the waters of the Minsk Sea. For three days, the participants held 11 races, following which the W Sailing Team won the final stage, and Tenzor Team became the champion of the season, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

From 15 to 18 October, about 40 athletes from Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan competed for the awards.

The first day immediately showed that there will be no easy victories. In four races, the lead passed from one crew to another. The best distance was the W Sailing Team of Peter Bukin. Second place went to Skolkovo Sailing Team-3 Sergey Doronin, the third – Tenzor Team Andrei Pushkin.

On the second day, the wind played its game, going 40° and turning the race into chess on the water. According to the organizers, in such conditions, it is not enough just to go at speed - you need to assess the situation in time and choose the right course.

W Sailing Team retained the lead, but Tenzor Team came close, reducing the gap to three points. One race was won by Butter Sailing Team and Pirogovo Yacht Club. Before the decisive day, the situation remained tense: at once five crews kept their chances for the first place.

Among the Belarusian participants, the best positions were occupied by Novasail and Tot Beach - the teams approached the final starts with the same number of points.

The final day was the main test for the crew. Here it was impossible to count only on a successful start: every maneuver, accuracy of tactical decisions and the ability to maintain composure under the pressure of rivals mattered.

- This is the perfect ending to the series. Everything was decided in the last stages of the distance. When you understand after 11 races that an unthinkable number of options for the outcome is possible, it is very cool, said the chief judge of the regatta Alexei Ganzhenko.

In the end, the first place in the stage was taken by the W Sailing Team. The second and third positions were shared by Pirogovo Yacht Club and Tenzor Team, who scored the same number of points.

For the winners, the final was a test of not only skill, but also endurance. Tactician W Sailing Team, master of sports of international class Alice Kiriluk admitted that the final day was one of the most tense of the season.

- Five boats claimed first place. It was hard, but incredibly interesting. We are glad that we coped with emotions and finished the season with dignity, the athlete said.

According to A. Kiriluk, literally every point decides in such a fight. After the finish, any crew can remember the moment when it was not enough for a higher result.

The top six also included Butter Sailing Team, Skolkovo Sailing Team-3 and That Coast. For the Fareast Club team from Kyrgyzstan, which took the ninth place, the competition was an opportunity to gain experience in the fight against the strongest participants in the series.

Winning the grand final did not automatically mean winning the entire season. In the overall standings, the results of a series in which 14 teams performed were taken into account.

According to the results of the entire series, Tenzor Team won the championship title and the transferable Tenzor Elite Cup 2026. The W Sailing Team finished second, and the Butter Sailing Team finished third.

The next season of the Tenzor Elite Cup is scheduled for 2027. This means that teams will have time to clear up mistakes, hone tactics and prepare for new starts.
