Lipetsk Metallurg lost to the Eagle with a score of 1: 2 in the final home match of the season. The meeting of the 29th round of the Second League, Division B, Subgroup No. 3 was held on October 24 at the Metallurg Stadium.
The guests opened the scoring in the 41st minute: after the transfer of the former player of Lipchan Vyacheslav Gordienko, Georgy Borisov distinguished himself. In the 78th minute, Daniil Arsentyev realized a penalty and doubled the advantage of the Eagle.
Captain Lipchan Dmitry Pakhomov reduced the gap, scoring from the 11-meter mark in compensated time, but the hosts did not have time to equalize the score.
According to the press service of FC Metallurg, Eagle won the first ever victory on the field of the Lipetsk team. Before the match, Pakhomov noted that the club still has chances for bronze medals.
