MINSK defeated Borysfen in the Belarusian basketball championship

In the fifth round of the BETERA-Belorussian basketball championship among men's teams, MINSK confidently dealt with Borysphen at its venue - 90:71, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Before the current tour, the Mogilev club went undefeated. In the asset of the wards of Andrei Krivonos was a victory over the Gomel Lynx (67:64), Rubon (87:84) and Grodno-93-GrSU (85:49). The team paired with Grodno-93 headed the standings. MINSK had two losses in four matches - from Grodno-93 (88:90) and Rubon (73:79).

Although the pre-match scenario hinted that it is unlikely that the capital club will be able to defeat the opponent, but the guys of Eduard Kemen never lost the lead for the meeting. Most of the first quarter was an equal struggle. Closer to its completion, the performance was issued by Dmitry Zakharenkov. Within 31 seconds, he scored five points. The starting 10-minute left for the hosts - 24:17. In the second period, the tall players of MINSKA came to the fore - Vadim Stubeda, Maxim Lutych, Pavel Rabushko. They performed well on the rebound (especially on someone else’s shield), plus they became the most productive in the team by the big break. In the asset Stubeda was 11 points, Rabushko — seven, Lutych — six. MINSK led with 48:35. The guests held on to the effective actions of Vladislav Shvakel (nine points).

The beginning of the second half on-the-mountain was issued by Borysphenes basketball players. They gradually managed to get close to the vise by a distance of six points (48:54). But in the end, the hosts worked more successfully, who returned the advantage by 13. Zakharenkov and Maxim Moskalchuk tried. In the final quarter, the guests were unable to make a comeback. Everything is to blame for the fuss and a good game of MINSKA in defense. And in the attack, the hosts succeeded, deservedly winning with a score of 90:71. Stubeda on someone else's shield collected 11 rebounds (for comparison, all the players Mohilev residents made 13 rebounds). The center became the most productive in the capital club - 15. Sniper abilities were noted by Lutych - 13 points, Zakharenkov and Frank Sidze - 11 each. Nevertheless, the hosts remained in third position in the table, and Borysfen retained the second.

In another match of the tour “Grodno-93-GrSU” got the first victory, defeating the BOK “Victoria” – 65:56.

On Wednesday, October 14, there will be another fight. In Vitebsk, Rubon will host Grodno-93 (starting at 18:00).
