In the postponed match of the 16th round of the BETERA-Higher League of Belarus on football "Neman" at a party was stronger than BATE - 2: 0, the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti" reports.
The meeting was supposed to take place in the early days of August, but at that time the Borisovites played in the League of Conferences. Due to difficult logistics, the team could not return to the country, so asked for a transfer from the Belarusian Football Federation. The leadership of the organization went to meet the club.
Now "Neman" was a clear favorite of the pair. The team last lost on August 8 to Vitebsk (0: 1), and after that there were six wins and one draw. A successful segment helped pull up close to the top 4. BATE is doing with varying success. Last week, Vitaly Rogozhkin’s wards scored three important points, beating Slavia (2: 1). The Borisovites planned to extend the series and further move away from the relegation zone. But ambitious plans were disrupted by opponents who scored a quick ball. Sergey Pushnyakov threw Pavel Savitsky into the breakthrough, who issued a perfect pass on Dana Spatar - the midfielder scored in an empty corner (1: 0).
The owners didn't seem to notice. Vladislav Varaksa maximally pumped into someone else's penalty area, and partners helped him. But unlike the club from Grodno, the players of BATE failed to realize their moments. Not in the first or second half. After a break on the field in the “Neman” appeared Andria Ratkovich. The Serbian striker in previous rounds scored several goals. And now he hasn't gone without a goal. The guests made an interception and Ratkovich squeezed the maximum out of the situation - 2: 0. The team moved to fourth position. Above only "Isloch", "ML Vitebsk" and Minsk "Dynamo".
- Hard match, hard field, a lot of struggle. We made a lot of mistakes in simple situations. By and large, we controlled the game. We played better and created chances. But overall, of course, I'm not quite happy with the team's performance. But victory is a victory, commented on the win the head coach of “Neman” Igor Kovalevich.
On Thursday, October 15, two more postponed matches of the 16th round will play:
- 1.18:30. Dynamo (Minsk) – Slavia (Mozyr);
- 2.20:30. "ML Vitebsk" - "Torpedo-BELAZ" (Zhodino).
