Oleg Vasilenko explained the departure from the Voronezh “Torch”

Former head coach of Voronezh Torch Oleg Vasilenko said that he left the club by agreement of the parties. According to him, after the defeat of Lokomotiv with a score of 0: 5, he discussed further work with Director General Dmitry Kondratov, and the management decided to change the coach.

Vasilenko noted that the development of events was predictable for him, especially given the transfer campaign, during which the team did not receive the expected newcomers. In particular, neither Legionnaire nor Daler Kuzyaev joined the Torch, who made a choice in favor of Makhachkala. The specialist did not predict the retirement during the pause, but took it without emotions, noting that in such situations the responsibility traditionally falls on the head coach.

He recalls the game with Lokomotiv with frustration: according to Vasilenko, Voronezh lacked individual skills, and the loss of concentration of players was a surprise for him.

SportsFlag returned, visas were not given: how the Netherlands deprive Russian gymnasts of the Olympics-2028

On October 9, a truly absurd and tense situation developed in Russian sports. On the one hand, the international federations are lifting discriminatory restrictions one by one. On the other hand, host countries are finding ways to keep our athletes out of competitions using a banal bureaucracy. A good example is the Russian gymnastics team, which right now risks losing its chance at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
