Penza region topped the rating of regions by the share of residents involved in sports
The Penza region took first place among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of the share of the population that regularly engages in physical education and sports.
The Penza region took first place among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of the share of the population that regularly engages in physical education and sports. The development of sports infrastructure and equipment facilities continues with the support of Governor Oleg Melnichenko within the framework of the state program.
In particular, in Penza, Kuznetsk, Zarechny, as well as in Spassky, Penza, Luninsky, Kamensky and Moksha districts, 8 small sports grounds appeared. They are designed to prepare residents to meet the standards of the complex “Ready for Labor and Defense”.
Today, the share of residents aged 3 to 79 who lead an active lifestyle in the Penza region is 74.3%. Among the leaders are also Sakhalin Oblast (71.4%), Crimea (71.4%) and Krasnodar Krai (70.4%).
