David Beckham may replace Gianni Infantino as head of world football
David Beckham may take over from Gianni Infantino. UEFA and the German Football Union intend to remove the current head of the federation due to the scandalous sale of the rights to the World Cup. Sky Sports reports that the main candidate for replacement was the legendary Englishman.

Legendary English midfielder David Beckham is being considered as the main candidate for the new president of the International Football Federation (FIFA). According to the authoritative sports resource Sky Sports, the former star of Manchester United and Real Madrid can replace the current head of the organization Gianni Infantino.
Beckham's nomination was initiated by a powerful coalition that included UEFA, the German Football Union and CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Football). Leading football structures intend to dismiss Infantino amid a major management scandal. Officials were outraged by the fact that the current head of FIFA secretly sold part of the commercial rights to host the world championships, and the demands to give explanations to members of the FIFA Council responded only with a proposal to send official written requests.
The degree of tension within the federation was openly confirmed by FIFA Vice President Debbie Hewitt. She said uncompromisingly that if Gianni Infantino did not provide clear answers to financial questions, he would be deemed completely inappropriate for the office of president.
