Sambists from Serpukhov won two golds in the interregional tournament
In Mytishchi, the Interregional Youth Sambo Tournament “Cup of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region” was held. The competition was attended by young men in the age categories from 12 to 18 years. The tournament program covered two disciplines – sports and combat sambo, each of which imposes special requirements on athletes.
Representatives of the Russian Bear sports school demonstrated a high level of training and won two gold awards.
Enri Harutyunyan (age group born 2012-2014) won in the weight category up to 65 kg in sports sambo. During the fights, the athlete consistently implemented the chosen tactics, demonstrated confident technical actions and did not allow vulnerable moments in defense, effectively applying techniques at the decisive moments of the fights.
Ivan Shabonkin (age group 2010-2012) became the winner in the weight category 58 kg in the discipline of combat sambo. The athlete showed a built-up strategy of wrestling: he controlled the pace of fights, rationally distributed physical resources and did not allow opponents to seize the initiative.
The achieved results reflect the systematic work of the coaching staff and the personal discipline of the athletes, which allowed to implement the skills worked out in training in conditions of competitive tension.
