Russian national team scored 12 goals in one match at the FIFA football festival

The Russian youth football team defeated Sudan at the start of the FIFA festival.

The first ever World Cup and the festival of the International Football Federation among young men under 15 years has started in Azerbaijan. 189 national teams participate in the large-scale tournament. On October 24, the junior team of Russia, composed of players born in 2011, held its opening match against the national team of Sudan and won a confident victory with a score of 12: 0.

The festival matches are held in an eight-on-eight format on smaller fields. The game consists of two halves of 20 minutes each. Russian footballers took both games, scoring six unanswered goals. Already by the eighth minute of the meeting, Russia led with a score of 4: 0 thanks to goals by Yegor Lucin, Anatoly Tsimin and team captain Matvei Abdulkhalikov. Before the end of the first half, Lucin scored a hat-trick, and Tsimin recorded a double on his account. In the second half of the meeting, the coaching staff made changes to the composition, which did not affect the effectiveness. Three goals scored by Egor Goryainov, twice distinguished Matvey Rodionov, and the point in the match in the last seconds was put by Ilya Brave.

In the list of authors of goals scored at the end of the meeting were Egor Lyusin, who hit the gate in the first, eighth and eighteenth minutes, Anatoly Tsimin, who distinguished himself in the second and sixteenth minutes, Matvey Abdulkhalikov, who scored in the sixth minute, Egor Goryainov, who scored a hat-trick in the 21st, 27th and 38th minutes, Matvey Rodionov, who scored in the 26th and 34th minutes, and Ilya Brave, who set the final score in the fortigoth minute.

The tournament differs from the classic world championships in its rules. At the preliminary stage, the teams are distributed into groups, after which, depending on the occupied places, they fall into the corresponding playoff grids. The winners of the groups continue to fight in the top division, and the further path of the teams is built on the Olympic principle, where the losers meet each other in consolation matches. In total, each team will hold ten meetings at the festival.

Their next match wards coaching staff will hold on October 25 against the national team of Sierra Leone. In the future, the rivals of the Russian team will be the national teams of Djibouti, Afghanistan and Turkey.

The performance at the festival is of particular importance for domestic football, as it is the first competition of this level with the participation of Russian teams under the auspices of FIFA since 2022. It is noted that the team performs at the tournament under the national flag, and in case of victories, the national anthem of Russia sounds.
