The team of Tatarstan in the top five Spartakiad of the peoples of Russia

In the competitions of the II All-Russian Spartakiad between the subjects of the Russian Federation in summer sports among the strongest athletes without limiting the upper limit of the age of 2026, the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan became the fourth in the team standings, winning 50 medals: 19 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze, the press service of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
The Spartakiad was held on the sports grounds of seven regions, August 1 – October 10. Surfing competitions were held in the final.
Kazan hosted competitions in 11 types: rugby-7 (men and women), skateboarding, softball (women), football (women), equestrian sports, rowing, kayaking and canoeing, gymnastics, bullet shooting, flag football (women), baseball (men).
The Spartakiads in Kazan were held at seven modern sports facilities. Kazan confirmed the status of one of the leading sports centers of the country, stressed the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov.
The tournament participants played 362 sets of awards in 44 disciplines, more than seven thousand athletes from 82 subjects of the country competed.
Competitions were held in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia in the framework of the state program “Sport of Russia”. The tournament became one of the main stages of selection for the national team for the games of the XXXIV Summer Olympics-2028 in Los Angeles.
