Serpukhov took the zonal stage of the volleyball championship “Active longevity”
The Russian Bear FC in Serpukhov hosted a zonal tournament of the 4th zone of the championship of the Moscow region in volleyball among the participants of the Active Longevity program
In total, in the suburbs, the championship is held in four zones. The winners of zonal tournaments reach the final, which will be held on October 30, 2026 in Serpukhov on the basis of the Russian Bear FOC.
The captain of the Serpukhov team of veterans 65+ Felix Nazarov said that he has been engaged in volleyball for about 50 years, and the team trains three times a week. Serpukhovich already beat Chekhov and Pushchino with a score of 2: 0.
“The guys are trained, follow the instructions – and everything works out,” he said.
According to the captain, two years in a row, the team became the silver medalist of the final tournament of the championship of the region, but now is set for gold.
Nazarov also stressed that the participants of the tournament not only compete, but also make friends: correspond, meet and organize friendly matches themselves.
“Perhaps that’s why it is possible to maintain vigor in your 65 years with splashes,” he concluded.
Volleyball tournaments among the participants of Active Longevity are held in several stages - municipal, zonal and regional finals. Women from 55 years old and men from 60 years old can participate.
