From October 24 to November 1, Astana will host the World Wrestling Championship. As part of the Russian national team, the current winner of the U-20 world championship Mingiyan Goryaev will go to Kazakhstan.
The first wrestlers of the Greco-Roman style will come out on the carpet in Kazakhstan. On October 13, at the gathering in the Paramonovo branch, the head coach of the Russian national team Nikolai Monov announced the composition of the team. It included the most titled athletes – Olympic medalists, world champions Sergey Semenov (up to 130 kg) and Sergey Emelin (up to 63 kg).
In the weight category up to 72 kg, the current world champion among young men under 20 years old, master of sports of Russia of international class, a pupil of the Kalmyk wrestling school Mingiyan Goryaev will perform.
