Denis Boytsov, known as the “Russian Tyson,” was one of Russia’s most promising heavyweights in the early 2010s. He did not know defeats for almost 10 years and was preparing for a fight with Wladimir Klitschko.

But in 2015, his career was cut short by tragedy. In Berlin, Denis Boytsov received serious injuries to the head and hands – he was found unconscious in the subway. After that, the athlete was introduced into a medical coma, performed a number of operations. Rehabilitation lasted for years, first in Germany, then in Russia. The path to recovery was difficult and long, the athlete did not give up to the last, but fate ordered otherwise. He was only 40 years old.
