In Cheboksary held a tournament in memory of OMON officer Nikolai Kirillov

In the sports hall of the regional branch of the Dynamo society, the fifth volleyball tournament was held, dedicated to the memory of the former deputy commander of the OMON Nikolai Kirillov.

The competitions were attended by the teams of OMON “Suvar”, the Chuvash Republican organization of the society “Dynamo”, Cheboksary “Chapaevets” and the team of the Cheboksary district “Kirillov and Co.”.

The award ceremony was attended by the son of Nikolai Kirillov, command and veterans of riot police, his colleagues and friends.

Nikolai Kirillov since 1995 served as deputy commander of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chuvash Republic and repeatedly participated in the counter-terrorist operation in the Chechen Republic.

After his retirement in 2001, he continued his public activities as part of the Union of Veterans of Special Forces of Chuvashia.
