According to Marca, the Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD) is considering disciplinary action against La Liga chief Javier Tebas. The reason for this was his comparison of the work of television broadcasting Real Madrid with the methods of propaganda used in Nazi Germany.

The functionary allowed himself quite harsh statements about the team. According to Mundo Deportivo, Tebas said that the leadership of Madrid manages its information resources, setting a general tone through the channel Real TV. According to him, their strategy is unchanged: they choose favorable moments, constantly talk about injustice, stir suspicion and look for enemies. The head of La Liga added that such actions resemble the propaganda tactics used by the Minister of propaganda of Nazi Germany Joseph Goebbels.

In response to these words, the Madrid club issued an official appeal in which it pointed out the inadmissibility of such parallels on the part of the championship leader. Even attempts to clarify that it was not about the Nazi ideology itself do not make this statement less offensive, morally disgusting and unworthy for a person in such a post.

In addition, the club demanded Tebas resign from his position. Real Madrid said it was "absolutely unacceptable and extremely serious" that a person holding two key positions in Spanish football would use comparisons with the methods of the Nazi regime to discredit the team, its management and the TV channel. The club added that any reservations about non-involvement in Nazi ideology do not mitigate the offensive and unworthy nature of such statements.
