In Kazan for the first time held the Russian badminton championship

Opened in Kazan Badminton Center championship of Russia in the personal category. The strongest athletes of the country - young talents and experienced athletes - gathered, Tatar-inform news agency reports.

More than one hundred and fifty people from 17 regions participate in the competitions. The championship will be the main national start of the season, a platform for selection to the Russian national team.

Tatarstan at the home tournament are represented by Evgenia Kosetskaya, Sergey Sirant and Nikita Muleyev. And the leaders of domestic badminton Georgy Karpov, Vladislav Dobychkin, Arthur Pechenkin and others.

Kazan First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Khalil Shaykhutdinov called rich experience in holding tournaments of all-Russian and international levels in various sports. The Russian Badminton Championship is here for the first time. Tatarstan is the only region in the country where badminton sections are open in every district. Thanks to this, for 13 years, 18,000 people were engaged in it.

President of the National Badminton Federation of the Russian Federation Andrey Antropov highly appreciated the organization of the tournament and the infrastructure of Kazan. He considers the local Badminton Center one of the best for athletes.

Tomorrow at 10.00 the start of the starting tours in the mixed doubles, men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles. October 23 – Quarterfinals in all categories. Semi-finals will be held on Saturday, and the finals in all categories will be held on October 25.
