Smolensk State University of Sports (SGUS): A lively dialogue was held here with the participation of athletes, as well as representatives of the Slavutich hockey club and the Iskra football club. The participants were addressed by the Minister of Sports Viktor Kiryushkin. The intricacies of live work and the specifics of match coverage were discussed.
The development of regional sports: on October 16, a strategic meeting on the topic “Regional sport and sports commentary” was held. Speakers and students discussed how to build effective interaction between sports clubs and the press, as well as what personnel the region needs.
Importance for the region
Such meetings are extremely important for students of profile areas. They get the opportunity to learn about the profession firsthand, ask questions about employment in the press services of clubs, on television and in digital media.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Smolensk: victories that sound”, which is designed to preserve the traditions of national sports journalism and strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and sports organizations of the region.
