xXV All-Russian Taekwondo Tournament “Cup of the Smolensk Fortress” ended in Smolensk

In Smolensk, large-scale competitions in taekwondo - XXV All-Russian tournament "Cup of the Smolensk fortress" were held. This year it was dedicated to veterans of airborne troops and special forces units.

The tournament confirmed its high status, bringing together more than 816 participants from 27 regions of Russia. Over the 25 years of its existence, the Smolensk Fortress Cup has become a significant platform where young athletes can test their strength, gain invaluable competitive experience and find new friends.

Participants and guests of the tournament were welcomed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Smolensk region Peter Ilyukhin. Taekwondo is not just a sport, but a school of life. According to him, martial arts bring up discipline, endurance, respect for the opponent and the ability to achieve goals - qualities necessary for a person in any field of activity.
