During his working visit to Astana, President of the NOC of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko held talks with the leadership of the sports industry of Kazakhstan. This was reported in the press service of the NOC, writes sb.by.

The President of the NOC of Belarus met with the Head of the NOC of Kazakhstan, Head of the International Boxing Federation (World Boxing) Gennady Golovkin, Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov and Head of the National Aquatics Federation Nurlan Zhakupov. Lukashenko expressed confidence that the two countries have great potential for expanding cooperation in this area.

Sport is one of the priority areas of development of Kazakhstan. Infrastructure is developing systematically and on a large scale, and the state supports athletes at all stages of their careers. A large number of world-class tournaments are held in the country. It is extremely important for us to share best practices and synchronize common efforts, the head of the NOC of Belarus emphasized.

In addition to the joint use of sports facilities and conducting training camps, the parties agreed to expand the exchange of experience at the level of federations, sports universities and specialized medical centers. The officials also expressed readiness to expand cooperation between the swimming federations of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
