The final matches of the All-Russian football competitions among 60+ veterans, dedicated to the memory of Nikita Pavlovich Simonyan, ended on October 19 in Vityazev (an urban district of Anapa). The final tournament was supported by the Russian Sports Foundation. It was attended by a team from Kalmykia "Builder".
In the final match, the teams of Yenisei from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Dynamo-Kosa from Cheboksary met. The team from the capital of the Chuvash Republic won a confident victory with a score of 3: 0 and became the owner of the Cup of the Committee of Veterans of Football of the RFU and gold medals of all-Russian competitions.
Veterans from Kalmykia did not have enough luck to win the cup. In the decisive match with the Voronezh Torch, a goalless draw was recorded in the main time, and in the post-match penalties, Torch won (3: 4). As a result, a step in the middle of the rating table.
However, noted in the Kalmyk team, among the winners, the best scorer of the tournament with 9 goals was Garnik Avalyan, who played for Elista Uralan in 1999-2000.
