Vologda athletes took silver of the Special Olympics of Russia

In Kaspiysk of the Republic of Dagestan, the competitions in mini-football “Match of Goodness” in the framework of the All-Russian Special Olympics were completed.
The tournament gathered 354 participants from 23 regions of the country. Of the 284 special athletes and unified partners, about 450 medals were awarded. The Special Olympics in Russia is an all-Russian sports competition for people with intellectual disabilities.
The Vologda region was presented at the competition by the team of the Vologda Special Committee. Our players took second place in the first division. The coach of the team is Sergey Kulikov.
The development of adaptive physical culture, support for athletes with disabilities are priority areas of the state program "Sport of Russia".
