A resident of Zaporozhye region Alexander Besedin successfully performed at the Yesenin race - one of the oldest and most famous athletics starts of the Ryazan region.
The route of the half marathon with a length of 21.1 km runs from the city of Rybnoye to the village of Konstantinovo - the birthplace of Sergei Yesenin, and the finish is located in places closely related to the life of the poet. The atmosphere of the race is special: runners overcome the distance among the fields and golden birches, as if approaching the origins of Yesenin poetry and his love for his native land.
In 2026, about 2,500 athletes and runners took part in the 46th Yesenin race, including representatives of not only different regions of Russia, but also Belarus, Kazakhstan, Morocco and Israel.
We congratulate Alexander on a worthy passage of the distance and wish him new sports achievements and inexhaustible inspiration!
