Croatia agreed with the United States on the accelerated delivery of eight HIMARS missile systems and eight Black Hawk helicopters. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ivan Anushich, who is on a visit to the United States of America, writes sb.by.

During a meeting with representatives of the American armed forces on September 15, Anushich said that the delivery will take place in less than a year and a half. Initially, helicopters and complexes were supposed to arrive in the third quarter of 2028, but now we are talking about the end of 2027 or early 2028. In addition, negotiations on the purchase of long-range missiles (up to 150 km) for HIMARS by Zagreb are at the final stage.
- I am pleased to say that we have agreed on an accelerated delivery, and in less than a year and a half we will have Black Hawk helicopters and HIMARS missiles as part of our armed forces.
The Croatian Air Force has four Black Hawk helicopters. With the addition of eight vehicles, the country will be able to form a full-fledged squadron. According to Anusic, these helicopters are capable of carrying a wide range of weapons and providing support to the army and navy. He stressed that Croatia is conducting a large-scale modernization of the army and expects to turn it into a modern and well-equipped military force by 2030.
