American reality star Kim Kardashian on Tuesday, September 15, received a symbolic 1 euro ($1.15) as compensation for damages from thieves.

American reality star Kim Kardashian on Tuesday, September 15, received a symbolic 1 euro ($1.15) in damages from thieves who tied her at gunpoint in a Paris hotel in 2016 and stole jewelry, including a wedding ring worth $ 4 million.

According to a lawyer for the hotel administrator, another plaintiff, Kardashian, who testified in court that she thought she would die in the incident, demanded a token sum from some of those convicted in May 2025 of robbery as part of a civil damages case.
“The robbers were wearing ski masks and disguised as policemen. It was the largest robbery in France in 20 years. Most of the jewelry was never found, including an engagement ring given to her by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West (now known as Ye).
The hotel administrator claimed 500,000 euros in damages and was awarded around 110,000 euros, according to his lawyer.
In 2025, Kardashian told Aomara Ait Hedach, the then 69-year-old robbery organizer, in court that she had forgiven him, but that it did not spare her the trauma of what happened. He was sentenced to three years in prison and seven others were convicted of robbery offences.
