Many EU citizens do not know who heads the European Commission. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by Public First for Politico, writes sb.by.

According to TASS, more than 20% of respondents in France admitted that they do not know who Ursula von der Leyen is. In Spain, it was 10%, in Germany – 5%. According to Politico, von der Leyen has failed to win the trust of Europeans — if they even know who she is.
The survey took place on September 13-15 in Germany, Spain and France, with more than 2,000 adults in each country. The results were published ahead of von der Leyen’s annual keynote address in Strasbourg on the state of the EU.
The study also found that only a few plan to follow the speech live. On average, in three countries, about 10% of respondents said they would watch the appeal carefully, and about a third said they would not go into details.
