The EU must do more to ensure peace, especially in Ukraine. This was stated by the President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini, speaking in the National Council (parliament) of the Republic with a speech on the situation in Slovakia, reports sb.by.

According to TASS, the politician said: “I am talking [about the need for the EU] to make much more efforts to ensure peace, primarily in Ukraine,” Pellegrini also called for the continuation of Slovakia’s foreign policy, oriented “on all four sides of the world”, which is implemented by the current government of the republic.
The Slovak president criticized the European Union for not rethinking its priorities, despite the changes in the system of international relations. The community, focusing on green policy projects, makes serious mistakes, paying insufficient attention to the development of competitiveness of economic sectors, lower energy prices, and problems of external and internal security.
