Putin at Delhi summit: BRICS core values and ideals appeal to many in the world
The attention of the international community to the activities of BRICS continues to grow, and for many in the world, the basic values and ideals of unification are attractive.

The attention of the international community to the activities of BRICS continues to grow, and for many in the world, the basic values and ideals of the association, such as the commitment to an independent and independent course, the desire for legal solutions to problems based on international law and key provisions of the UN Charter, are attractive. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the open session “Sustainability, Innovation, Cooperation and Self-Realization: Shaping a Future for Inclusive Global Growth”, which is a key event of the second day of the XVIII BRICS Summit, held on September 12-13 in Delhi.

- BRICS has always advocated and advocates that all countries without exception have equal and unlimited opportunities for sustained and balanced economic and social growth, for ensuring the well-being of the population, and at the same time can preserve unique national cultures and traditions, adhere to their own sovereign development models, Putin said. I would like to stress that BRICS today is one of the powerful driving forces behind the strengthening of genuine multilateralism in international relations and is actively involved in the formation of a new, more equitable multipolar world order.
Vladimir Putin noted that the population growth rate in the BRICS countries is increasing from year to year, domestic markets are strengthening
- Domestic trade within our association has already reached $1.2 trillion. The participating countries account for almost a quarter of global exports. And it is BRICS that provides the main dynamics of world GDP – 49 percent.
At the same time, the potential for the further development of BRICS is far from being exhausted:
- One of the main reserves not yet fully used is the complementarity of the economies of the participating countries. Differences in their structure and specialization provide ample opportunities for practical cooperation, for the creation of new production chains, technologies, services and markets. In fact, we are talking about the formation of a common platform for BRICS growth, which would organically combine the competitive advantages of our economies. I would like to stress that it is important to build such a platform on the principles of openness and accessibility not only for BRICS participants, but also for all our partners and friends. I'm sure it will. The states of our association have their own channels of movement of goods, services and capital, independent of external conditions. They already make it possible to effectively conduct commercial, banking, financial and investment operations without paying attention to external pressure.
The open session “Sustainability, Innovation, Cooperation and Self-Realization: Shaping a Future for Inclusive Global Growth” is attended not only by BRICS leaders, but also by representatives of partner countries and international organizations. Belarus participates in the summit as a BRICS partner state. On behalf of President Alexander Lukashenko, our country is represented by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
