The international chemical concern Ineos stopped all three plants in the British city of Hull due to a sharp rise in gas prices. It's from sb.by.

According to RIA Novosti, Ineos is shutting down all three of its global chemical plants in Hull. Gas prices in Europe are now 12 times higher than in the United States, and these plants use gas both as fuel and as raw materials.
According to Ineos, the shutdowns were the last in Europe to produce large quantities of acetyls — raw materials for pharmaceuticals, detergents and explosives. The factories provided four thousand highly skilled jobs.
The conflict in the Middle East has led to a serious rise in gas prices in Europe. Average exchange prices for March increased by almost 60% compared to February, exceeding $ 600 per thousand cubic meters. In early September, they broke the mark of $ 900, and on September 14 for a short time - a thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters.
