Hende Hoch, Schweine!

About 20 years ago, Almaty resident Vladimir Kovalchuk leased the territory near the Ili River and organized the Aidarli hunting farm, the director of which he became the head of the company

He hired rangers, that is, created new jobs, met and made friends with local shepherds. It is impossible to use natural resources without giving anything in return.

If you want to hunt, you have to take care of the animals

In the cold season, huntsmen are provided with feed for boars and birds, provide protection for animals that come to the watering hole. Fire prevention measures are carried out, with the help of a tractor and a plow, strips were laid for the non-proliferation of fire. The work is carried out in cooperation with forestry representatives.

There are people who feel equally comfortable in a large house and in a hut on the bank of the river. Vladimir loves nature since he can remember, and in his youth he met with Maxim Zverev in his country house, where chipmunks ran in a cage. He listened to the stories of the zoologist, read wonderful stories of Zverev about animals, from which he learned a lot about their habits.

The passion for hunting is rooted in the ancient and biological evolution of man. Homosapians and their ancestors formed as a biological species in the process of pursuing and extracting animal food. For millions of years, survival depended on the ability to track down, outsmart and get the beast. Psychologists note that the craving for hunting and fishing is rooted in genetic memory. A man unconsciously seeks to reproduce the behavior of an ancient ancestor. A successful catch or prey activates a powerful release of dopamine in the brain, signaling the successful completion of the “survival mission”.

The hunt for the boar opens on the first Saturday of September, and Vladimir Kovalchuk goes to the places where these dangerous animals live - on hunting farms. "There are different cases on the hunt, sometimes on the verge of foul," he says. It happens that the boar flies at you from the thicket at a short distance, and here, as they say, the veins shake, and sometimes you see a boar that does not notice you, and you just need to aim. If wounded, he knows who his opponent is and can attack. One day a friend and I took a wild boar, which was sitting in thick garments. He was surrounded by dogs, barked and barked, and could not be expelled from the thicket. It was in the highlands, and one of us went up the hill on a horse, then went to the dogs, but the boar still did not see, and he already felt the hunter. He flew out of the thicket, and the hunter shot twice in surprise. The beast was huge, about 160 kilograms. We are all gathered to take pictures with the prey.”.

In general, photos with large prey or fish in social networks are, according to researchers, a subconscious demonstration of strength, status and fitness in front of the “tribe”.

- On Aydarla (the area in the direction of Zharkent on the banks of the Ili river. – Approx. aut.) I once in two days laid two wild boars, – says Vladimir. I had a dog and a double-barrel IZH 27. The lower barrel is a fraction, the upper one is a shotgun. The boar comes out 20 meters away from me, I shoot and report it on the radio to my guys. As they approached, it was dark, they brought a rope, and the further they dragged, the larger and larger the boar seemed to us. The next day, everyone took guns and went out to the duct, which separates from the river Ili. Everyone sat down in a secluded place, and I went forward, lay down on a bump and dozed off. Suddenly I hear a grunt. I turned on the flashlight, and it's somewhere in the reeds, five meters away from me, but I can't see it. There was a pig in the woods..

From the point of view of psychoecology and cognitive psychology, fishing and hunting act as powerful anti-stress tools. Staying in nature immerses a person in natural cycles. Studies show that this develops a respectful attitude to the ecosystem. Urbanization generates a lot of covert aggression. Hunting and fishing allow you to legally and safely remove the accumulated tension. Hunting requires composure and suppression of panic, and fishing requires deep patience. It trains the ability to control your emotions in everyday life.

The reed stood on the wall, which saved the hunter

- Once we ran into a pod, the dog stopped him in reeds, Vladimir continues. I had to decide what to do next, and I even forgot that I had the wrong ammunition. I'm walking and I don't see the beast. A few more meters passed, and suddenly a boar runs at me! Instead of shooting, I jumped on the wall of the reed, and it was so thick that I hung. The boar rushed past ... He probably didn’t want to attack me, he was just running away from the dog.

The famous zoologist and writer Maxim Dmitrievich Zverev dedicated several stories to boar hunters. The story “A Hunting Case” is about two comrades, one of whom mistook a cow for a boar. Azat woke up his chess friend Petya, reminding him that it was morning and they were hunting. In this story, "chess player" is synonymous with the word "nerd" - so would call an inexperienced beginner hunter today.

The hostess of the house where they slept offered steamed milk and asked to drive her cow out of the village, where she immediately turned into bushes. All day friends wandered through the thickets, Azat already carried a heavy bunch of pheasants. On the bank of the river there was a herd of cows, and an old man sat on the stump. We came, said hello, rested on the grass and began to listen.

“The old man told for a long time, smoking their cigarettes, all sorts of terrible stories about boars-sekachs, which, according to him, have already torn several urban hunters,” Zverev writes. The chess player took everything at face value, and when his friends went further, he did not step away from the road.

Azat walked through the thickets, frightening pheasants, and advised Pete to get away from the road. He listened, fell behind, and now he was constantly haunted by the idea of meeting a sekach boar. Left alone, the city resident felt uncomfortable, shouted, but the friend did not respond. He began to make his way back to the road, got lost and heard the crackling of dry cane. Someone was struggling. “He hastily reloaded the gun, put a single round bullet in the barrel. The tops of the cane in front swung, and something dark flashed very close. “Sekach!” – the hunter decided in horror and, almost without aiming, shot at the approaching beast. Having finally met with Azat, he said that a boar rushed at him, and a friend went to look for the killed beast. Soon both stood over the carcass of a gray cow with a broken horn - the same one that was escorted out of the village in the morning.

Returning to her house, she decided not to tell her anything until morning. They figured out who to borrow money from to pay for a pet. And the next morning the hostess milked her one-horned gray cow, and friends heard a stream of milk hitting the cushion. The hostess said the cow she had been looking for all evening returned at midnight and had a cloak of wool ripped out. Probably hit a branch. “Peterka, you just concussed her! The bullet slid over the head, stunned the cow and ricocheted to the side. And then she woke up and went home.

Grandfather businessman

Near the hunting shop, hunters met there talked about dogs, guns, successful hunts and trophies. From the story “The Simple Ones”: Two friends – a paramedic and a veterinarian – listened with interest to the stories of an experienced boar. The friends were approached by a handsome old man in an old-fashioned worn suit. In a soft, singing voice, he said:

- My dear ones, here you are talking about wild boars. See, hunters? Please come, my benefactors, knock down at least one of the cursed people. All the corn was eaten by anathemas. They come every night.

The old man named the village, promised to show the place where the boars come from and where to ambush them. On Saturday evening, the “Moskvich” arrived at the place, an old friend was waiting for them at the shop. He got into the car with the hunters and showed the cane thickets. They had never hunted boars before and were looking forward to a great adventure.

The old man said to the veterinarian, ‘Sit here. They'll come from there. Don't let him near you, hit him, or he'll throw himself, and remember his name. Kill, do not come, wait for the morning - you can only hurt, and he, the snake, will hide and arrest.

The old man beckoned the paramedic further, they say, two people should sit on one path. And when he heard a crackle, he fired. The reeds cracked, the boar ran away, and soon two more shots were heard. It seemed that his blood was baked on the resulting opening. A few minutes later, the doctor animatedly told the paramedic that he heard his shots, and immediately a huge boar began to burst through the cane.

- To prevent him from tearing me apart, I shot him in the air. The beast rushed to the side. Then I hit him through the cane with a round bullet. I heard him collapse hard into the mud.”.

At the fire, the hunters reasoned who would be called to dumplings from the boar and how they would thank the old man. Then they began to argue who killed this boar. They had a fight, and in the morning it turned out that they had killed a chick.

The old man slept all night in the Moskvich. When he learned that a red cow had been shot, he exclaimed that it belonged to the chairman of the collective farm, and warned that there would be a noise. I had to pay him a triple price for the cow to hush up and keep quiet. And then it turned out that the cunning old man bought bad calves on the cheap and tied them in the thickets of reeds. At night, he put two gullible hunters on the trail, bypassed them and untied the calf. So he fooled inexperienced hunters until he got caught.

Review from AI: “Hunter aims at result, triumph and dominance.” Psychologists note that real hunters, contrary to stereotypes, are more socially adapted, clearly observe the hierarchy and rules within the group, but at the same time have a more rigid personality type.
