In the building of the cultural and tourist center "Vologda" on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg in the near future will open a restaurant with the cuisine of the Russian North. This was reported by the local portal “Metro”.
Visitors to the institution will be able to try moose, game soup with cream, pike dumplings, cloudberries and other dishes of Vologda cuisine. Special attention will be paid to the tea card. Brand-chef Dmitry Blinnikov collected recipes together with the team in families and villages.
The gastronomic code of the region was developed by the authorities of the Vologda region together with businessmen and restaurateurs. It is based on three elements: historical recipe, exclusively local products and traditional methods of cooking in a modern way. To receive a special sign "Vologda bird", the menu of the restaurant must be at least three dishes that meet these criteria.
Vologda House on Nevsky Prospect was opened in partnership with the regional government and the administration of St. Petersburg with the support of governors Georgy Filimonov and Alexander Beglov. It combines a tourist information center, a store of Vologda products, platforms for master classes and tastings, an immersive route along the path of fairy tales and the residence of the All-Russian Father Frost.
