It would seem simple. If you want to lose weight, stop eating candy and buns. However, fitness instructor Sergey Perev warns that a sharp refusal of sweet and flour against the background of missed meals often leads to breakdowns and overeating. The expert explains why this happens, publishes News.ru.
The attempt of a person to abruptly sit on a strict diet, reduce portions and start actively exercising becomes too much stress for the body. Such harsh measures do not create new habits, but only temporarily suppress old ones.
Usually it works like this: during the day a person eats almost nothing and limits himself in everything. But by the evening, relaxing after a hard day, the body requires to fill the accumulated energy deficit. The result is a late dense dinner, sweets and endless snacks before bedtime. For nutrition to be really useful, it must fit into the real rhythm of a person’s life, not break it.
Change eating habits should be smooth, without total prohibitions. It is much more effective to plan the main meals in advance and not bring yourself to a state of severe hunger. It’s also important to know what emotions you’re used to eating.
Physical activity and diet should work in conjunction. If you starve in the day and overeat in the evening, then even with active training, there will be no stable result. The main rule is that changes in diet should not turn into a daily struggle with yourself.
