The Ministry of Industry and Trade offered Ryazan restaurants to include in the menu “Russian breakfast”

Russian hotels, boarding houses and catering establishments were recommended to create a separate menu of “Russian breakfast” with traditional dishes and local products. The corresponding concept is published on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The department explained that the category can include porridge, pancakes, cheesecakes, ryazhenka, kvass, as well as meat and fish dishes. Most hotels are now dominated by continental and English breakfasts, while Russian cuisine is poorly represented.

The initiative is not binding. Restaurants with foreign cuisine, such as Italian or Japanese, will be able to maintain their current range. To promote the new category, the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with experts will develop a special emblem.
