Almost four out of ten Ulyanovsk companies faced employees who are limited only to duties from job descriptions and refuse to take on additional workload. This behavior is called “silent dismissal.”.
According to SuperJob, 39% of Ulyanovsk employers reported such cases. At the same time, 54% of companies said that they had not experienced such employee behavior.
The citizens themselves most often associate “quiet dismissal” with accumulated burnout – this reason was named by 53% of respondents. Almost the same number, 50%, consider the lack of career prospects as the reason.
Much less often, this behavior is perceived as an attempt to hint to the employer about the need to raise wages, 17% said. Another 10% attributed the situation to poorly organized workflows, and 7% – the confidence of the employee that if necessary, he will quickly find a new place.
At the same time, companies often try to understand the situation, rather than immediately part with the employee. 71% of employers prefer to talk to an employee, 34% specify the scope of their duties, and 28% offer other tasks. Before dismissal, it comes much less often - this option is used by 10% of companies.
Thus, the “quiet dismissal” in Ulyanovsk is associated not so much with the actual departure from work, but with the refusal of the employee to go beyond the established range of duties.
