Most often, this bacterium enters the body with raw eggs, meat, fish or poorly washed vegetables. But there are ways that many do not think about. For example, you can get infected through unwashed hands after contact with a pet - even if it is a harmless hamster or turtle.
If the bacterium still got inside, an unpleasant story begins: the intestine malfunctions, the temperature rises, spasms and nausea appear. The most difficult are children, the elderly and those whose immunity is weakened.
How do you protect yourself? Here are some simple but effective habits. First of all, clean hands. Wash them often, especially after you have broken an egg or butchered a chicken. Secondly, do not use the same board for raw meat and vegetables for salad.
Egg shells are a separate “dirty zone” and have no place next to other foods. If the shelf life is coming to an end or the appearance of the product is in doubt, it is better not to take risks. Meat and eggs must undergo good heat treatment. Do not allow cats and dogs to walk around the dining table, and wash filters from the aquarium in the bathroom or in a separate pelvis, not in the kitchen sink.
Usually the disease recedes within a week. But you can't stand her. If the temperature is high, the pain is severe or the condition worsens, you need to go to the doctor. With severe diarrhea and dehydration, it is better to immediately call an ambulance.
Health is made up of little things. Keep an eye on what gets on your desk, and don’t forget the simple cleanliness.
