Why drink warm drinks in the winter
When the window is damp and damp, the body spends energy on heating itself. Warm drinking helps to tolerate temperature changes more easily, and if there are also berries or spices in the mug, you get vitamins without pharmacy cans. It is important to be honest: no tea will cure a cold. But warm drinking supports the body when the viral season is in full swing - this is also reminded by nutritionists, dissecting the benefits of berry fruit drinks.
Potassium tea - vitamin classic
Kalina after the first frost becomes softer and sweeter, and this is the best time to prepare it. According to experts, vitamin C in the potassium is 70% more than in lemon, plus vitamins A, E, K and group B. The berries are rubbed with sugar (or honey) and stored in a jar, and in winter just put a spoon or two in hot tea.
Recipe. For 1 liter of water: 3 tablespoons of rubbed potassium, a slice of lemon, honey to taste. Pour hot (not boiling) water, let stand for 5-7 minutes, add honey to a slightly cooled drink - with strong heat, it loses its valuable qualities.
Sea buckthorn tea with honey and ginger
Sea buckthorn in Belarus has long taken root in suburban areas, and in autumn it is easy to find at fairs. This is the record holder for vitamin C – about 200 mg per 100 g, that is, almost ten times more than in oranges. In berries there are useful fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, rare for plants.
Recipe. Tear 100 g of sea buckthorn, pour 500 ml of hot water, add a few thin slices of ginger and insist for 5-10 minutes. Honey and lemon at the end when the drink stops burning. Light oily film on the surface is normal: there are a lot of natural oils in sea buckthorn.

Cranberry Morse - simple and useful
Cranberries are one of our “most” northern berries. It has organic acids that give tartness and work as a natural preservative, as well as substances that support immunity during the season of infections. Doctors especially appreciate cranberries for proanthocyanidins - they prevent bacteria from "sticking" to the walls of the bladder, so cranberry juice is often advised in the prevention of cystitis.
Recipe. 200 g of cranberries knead, squeezed juice aside. Pour the cake with a liter of water, bring almost to a boil and remove from the fire. Strain the infused broth, cool to a warm state and only then mix with juice and honey. So you keep the maximum of vitamin C – boiling it destroys it.
Tea with black ash and herbs
Blackberry aronia (arony) is another berry familiar to Belarus. Its taste is better revealed in the company of herbs: mint, thyme, lime color. Dried aronia berries are well combined with ordinary black tea - a dark, with a light tartness, caffeine-free drink is obtained.
Recipe. On the kettle: 1 tablespoon of black tea, 1 spoon of dried aronia, a pinch of thyme. Pour water around 90°C, insist for 7 minutes. Honey tastes good.
Ginger tea is a quick option for frost
If there are no berries on hand, ginger will help. Classic: 1 liter of water - a piece of root 2-3 cm, slices of lemon, honey. Ginger gives mild warming and pleasant sharpness, invigorates not worse than coffee, but without caffeine. The optimal rate is 1-2 cups per day.
How to Drink Warming Drinks Wisely
Berry drinks are not harmless water. Kalina reduces pressure, so it should be avoided by hypotonics; it is not recommended for ulcers, exacerbation of pancreatitis and during pregnancy. Sea buckthorn is contraindicated in urolithiasis and acute liver diseases. Cranberries and sour cranberries - with gastritis with high acidity, they can irritate the stomach. Warm tea is an addition to a healthy lifestyle, not a substitute for treatment. With fever and a prolonged cold - to the doctor.
