The Lipetsk regional court upheld the decision to recover more than 439 thousand rubles from the tour operator in favor of a tourist who prematurely interrupted his vacation in the Crimea due to the lack of rescuers and doctors on the beach at the hotel. This was reported by the joint press service of the judicial system of the Lipetsk region.
In July 2025, the man came on vacation with his family. However, after three days, he decided to leave because he considered staying on the beach unsafe for children. When concluding the contract, the tour operator did not inform him about the absence of rescuers and medical workers on duty.
The tourist demanded to return the money for accommodation minus three days spent in the hotel, as well as pay compensation for moral damage, a fine and interest. The tour operator objected to the claim and insisted that if the contract is abandoned, he has the right to withhold actual costs in the amount of 117.6 thousand rubles.
The courts of first and appellate instances disagreed with this position. They pointed out that the information about the service did not meet the requirements of reliability, and the rest itself - safety.
As a result, the tour operator recovered 241 thousand rubles for tourist services, 15 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage, 120 thousand rubles of a fine, 33.3 thousand rubles of interest and 30 thousand rubles of expenses for a representative. The total amount exceeded 439 thousand rubles.
