In the Mogilev region, the trade union helped to return the “lost” day of leave to workers
Ten employees of one of the industrial enterprises of the region had to receive an additional day of incentive leave, which they were entitled by law.

Ten employees of one of the industrial enterprises in the region had to receive an additional day of incentive leave, which they were entitled by law, but in practice did not receive. This was told to the correspondent of sb.by in the Mogilev regional association of trade unions.

The violation was revealed by the trade union legal inspector during the monitoring of labor legislation.
It started with checking contracts. The legal labor inspector Polina Teterova analyzed the terms of contracts and found a systemic gap: employees were given only 24 calendar days of basic leave. Meanwhile, for those who work under a contract, the law also provides for additional incentive leave of up to five calendar days with the preservation of average earnings.
Polina Teterova emphasizes:
The law directly prescribes to include in the contract an additional incentive leave of up to five calendar days with the preservation of average earnings. For the employee, these are guaranteed rest days, and they should be provided by default. For our part, we make sure that the rule of law really works for everyone.
The employer was sent a statement on the elimination of violations. The reaction followed immediately: ten employees were given an additional incentive day of leave with the preservation of average earnings.
