During the period of seasonal increase in incidence, residents of Voronezh are recommended to pay special attention to the prevention of respiratory infections in the workplace. One of the easiest ways to reduce the risk of spreading viruses in a team is to ventilate rooms regularly. Doctor Olga Shuppo in an interview with RT advised to update the air in the office five to six times a day, avoiding drafts.
She also mentioned the importance of hand hygiene. Wash them for at least 20 seconds after using the toilet, before meals and after contact with common objects. If there is no water and soap nearby, you can use an alcohol antiseptic.
To reduce the likelihood of viruses entering the body, do not touch the eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. If necessary, the doctor recommends using a napkin or pre-treating your hands. To care for the mucous membranes of the nose and throat, a physiological solution can be used.
During coughing and sneezing, it is necessary to cover the mouth and nose with a disposable napkin or bending the elbow. The used napkin should be discarded immediately. In addition, it is important to regularly clean surfaces that are often touched by employees: desktops, keyboards, computer mice, phones and stationery.
To maintain the body's defenses help a balanced diet, proper sleep and regular physical activity. The doctor also advises to control stress levels and not to tolerate respiratory infections on the legs, giving the body time to recover.
