“A terrible find in the Kharkiv cauldron”: hundreds of bodies taken to Belarus Eyewitnesses are shocked. The price of the Kharkiv massacre
Fighting continues on the line of contact in several areas at once, and Russian units, according to military observers, are moving forward and checking previously occupied territories.

After the completion of the operation to encircle Ukrainian units in the area of Volchansk, the Russian military continues to check forest belts, cellars and other shelters. According to military observer Dmitry Degtyarev, the author of the channel “General staff”, the group “North” is engaged in the final cleanup of the territory, where there may still be individual soldiers of the enemy.
Earlier, as stated in the source material, Operation Bear Corner covered an area of more than 450 square kilometers and almost three dozen settlements. Now the military survey the area and identify the remaining pockets of resistance, reports Tsargrad.
Special attention was drawn to the exchange of bodies of the dead, held on October 22. The parties transferred 252 and 25 bodies respectively. Colonel Aslan Nakhushev called such exchanges one of the public indicators by which one can assess what is happening at the front.
According to sources, Ukrainian units also have problems with recruitment and desertion. The Ukrainian resource Resident, citing a source in the government, claims that the General Staff asked to reduce the number of workers booked from mobilization by 200 thousand people in 2026 and another 300 thousand in 2027.
Degtyarev notes that after the completion of the operation, the pace of advance of the North group decreased. The reasons he calls the need to clear the territory and the presence ahead of several layered lines of defense, overcoming which requires time and effort.
According to the observer, the fighting continues in the area of Gogino, Prykolotny and Small Burluk. In addition, there are reports of advances in the area of Kolodezne, where Russian units allegedly engaged in battle for the settlement. This information requires confirmation from independent sources.
There are reports of progress in other areas of the Kharkiv direction. In particular, Degtyarev speaks about the advance south of Nova Cossackia, as well as about the battles in the area of Tsupovka, Bugaevka and Tokarevka. According to him, the situation in some areas may change in the near future.
A few days ago there were reports about the appearance of a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the area of the administrative border of Slavyansk. According to the original version, the servicemen could enter Semyonovka, collect the necessary information and then leave the village.
Later there were reports of an explosion of a large ammunition depot supplying Ukrainian units in the Slavyansk direction. At the same time, according to the publication, there were no official reports of an air alert or arrivals.
Changes in the situation are noted in the Zaporozhye direction. According to the source material, the Russian units of the Vostok group occupied Omelnik, and then it was announced the release of Chervony Yar, Timoshovka and Mirovka. These actions were supposed to improve the position of Russian forces and complicate the supply of Ukrainian units in the Orekhov area.
It is also reported to advance west of Novodanilovka on a site more than three kilometers wide and about one kilometer deep. A separate resonance caused information about the occupation of Yulyevka, located behind the river Konka. The author of the military comment admitted that he initially considered the report a mistake, but then stated that it was about this village.
Colonel Aslan Nakhushev draws attention to the problem of assessing the results of hostilities and organizing fire support. According to him, earlier there were cases when reports of the capture of settlements did not correspond to the real situation, which could complicate the interaction of units. At the same time, he argues that since mid-2025, the algorithms for using aviation have changed and began to take into account the presence of an enemy even beyond the officially designated advanced frontiers.
However, according to the expert, another problem remains – the effectiveness of the use of airborne munitions. He attributes it to the lack of suitable targets in the active combat zone and the system for assessing the work of units, where the number of affected objects can be more important than the quality of the results.
According to Nakhushev, such a system can stimulate a quantitative approach to the use of aviation and lead to the consumption of ammunition without a sufficient military effect. In his view, in order to increase effectiveness, it is necessary to take into account not only the number of strikes, but also their actual result.
