Culinary skills of Chechnya received world recognition: the republic is among the winners of the WFRS championship
Representatives of the Chechen Republic were among the winners of the IX International Restaurant Sport Championship WFRS (World Federation of the Restaurant Sport), which was held from October 20 to 25 in St. Petersburg.
The Russian delegation consisted of three teams, including representatives of Chechnya – chef Laura Lom-Alieva and bartender Timur Osmayev.
“The competition was really serious. Professionals from different parts of the world gathered at one site, and everyone came for a victory. It was important for us to adequately represent the Chechen Republic and prove that our specialists are able to compete at the international level. Getting into the top three is a great result and motivation to move on, said Timur Osmayev. The championship brought together participants from more than 30 countries and 16 international teams from different continents. Participants competed in the sports format of the art of cooking and restaurant service, demonstrating speed, originality of presentation and teamwork.
The national project “Tourism and hospitality industry” is being actively implemented in the Chechen Republic. Within the framework of this national project, the organizers of recreation places and tourist routes receive comprehensive support from the state. In turn, tourist services provided to Russians are moving to a qualitatively new level. All the necessary infrastructure for comfortable trips around the country is developing, and it is becoming more interesting and convenient to travel around Russia.
