AI models without a team have created their own language of metaphors and technical slang

Models of artificial intelligence for communication with each other have changed the English language – its version from AI is incomprehensible to people, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
AI agents (autonomous software systems based on artificial intelligence) came to create their own version of the language without instructions from a person. This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the researchers of the laboratory Emergence, which develops the infrastructure for such systems and is engaged in their stress testing.
The models began to design their language a few days after they were launched in a special environment. And over time, the messages became less and less understandable to the person. They combine technical slang and metaphors of the Irish writer, poet James Joyce, a representative of literary modernism, who experimented with form, semantics and word structure.
The purpose of the word-creation of AI models is also unclear: did they try to optimize the exchange of information by making communication faster and clearer for “their own”, or did they hide the meaning of the messages without resorting to complex encryption? Earlier, experts in the field of artificial intelligence technologies estimated the probability of its destruction of humanity: it is by no means zero. The United Nations shares similar concerns.
Amid growing concern among professionals and ordinary citizens about the possible release of AI out of control, Politico published the results of a new survey on this topic on September 16. Nearly two-thirds (63%) of Americans see at least a moderate risk of artificial intelligence destroying humanity.
In addition, about half (48%) of respondents favor suspending or slowing the development of more advanced AI models in order to reduce any risks. A further 31% believe that the technology should be further developed because of the significant benefits it can bring. Other interviewees found it difficult to answer.
