Entering the Chinese market will become easier: the Ministry of Agriculture and BelCCI will help exporters with registration in CIFER

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food together with the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have developed a mechanism that will help Belarusian food producers to enter the Chinese market faster and without mistakes. Registration in the CIFER system is a prerequisite for any food supply to China. Now the Minsk branch of the BelCCI takes over the technical issues of registration: entering enterprise data into the system, interacting with the platform at all stages, translating documents into English.

- This will allow Belarusian exporters to significantly speed up the accreditation process, save time resources and minimize the risks of failure due to accidental errors when filling in data, the ministry said.

At the moment, there are two ways to register food enterprises in the Chinese system, and the choice depends on the type of products. Mandatory registration through the relevant department applies to 17 categories of goods, including meat and dairy products, eggs, beekeeping products, edible oils, grains, nuts, dried fruits, water products and others. In this case, the process is coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture: the department conducts an inspection of the enterprise, prepares a report and sends an official recommendation letter to the customs authorities of China.

If the food produced is not included in the list of these 17 categories, the company applies to the CIFER system independently. The Minsk branch of the BelCCI will help him in this, which will become a guide for manufacturers wishing to enter the Chinese market.
