Close, but cheaper: how many Chelyabinsk are willing to give up for a short road to work

Being able to walk to work or spend less time on the road attracts many. But not at any cost. According to SuperJob, 34% of Chelyabinsk residents are not ready to reduce salary expectations even for the sake of a workplace near their homes.

Among those who allow compromise, the most popular option is a small concession. 27% of respondents agree on the reduction of salary requests by 5%. Another 5% are ready to concede 15%, and 2% - 20%.

Only 3% of respondents can sacrifice a quarter of their expected income or even more.

The average size of the concession among those who agree to reduce requests was 9%.

Age also affects the willingness to negotiate. Chelyabinsk people from 35 to 45 years are less likely to agree to receive less for the sake of a convenient location of work than representatives of other age groups.

Among residents with an income of 150 thousand rubles, 37% do not consider reducing salary expectations at all. Those earning less than 150,000 were 31%.

In professional terms, the most intransigent were doctors. 60% of doctors surveyed are not ready to give in money. Almost the same number among administrators - 59%.

This is followed by drivers (44%), teachers (43%) and nurses (40%).

But the accountants were more accommodating. Among chief accountants, only 10% are categorically against reducing requests, among ordinary accountants - 18%.

However, willingness to discuss salary does not mean consent to any amount. Among drivers who allow reduced requirements, the average concession reaches 15%, among doctors - 14%. Designers and teachers have 12%.

The least willing to lose in the total office managers agree to compromise: an average of 6%.
