Do not be afraid to start anew: how family and state support helped Belgorod to revive the business

Dreams of opening a pie from Alexei appeared in the army. He returned home with a business plan. Before opening his establishment, the entrepreneur gained experience in Moscow, Kaluga and Novosibirsk.

However, for the first time, Alexey’s business did not go. Two floods and work in the minus forced it to close. However, the idea was still alive, and then the family came to the aid of the man.

A random idea and a new chapter of life

As the businessman said, the idea of a cake arose spontaneously. He went to a friend in Vladikavkaz, where he tasted the Ossetian cake. Then he thought, “Why is there no such thing in Belgorod?” That's where it all started.

After the army and travels in Russia, Alexey came to the regional center. Before the first attempt to bake a cake on his own, he believed that it was not difficult. Although earlier, as the businessman admitted, he did not know how to cook.

As a result, a successful cake turned out only with a hundredth attempt (about). Then in 2016, he opened a pie for the first time. However, experience in business management was lacking. Bet on products too low price and worked at a loss. The idea was finally curtailed by Alexey in 2018 after two floods. Then the business had 2 million rubles of debt.

Start over

The cake opened its doors to visitors again in 2024. Almost immediately, several Belgorod coffee shops offered Alexei to buy his frozen pies.

Together with the co-investor, they tried to raise funds for the development of the pie. Then Alexey decided to take part in the project “New opportunities”. However, the grant was not won. As the entrepreneur admitted, he did not prepare the presentation in the format that was needed.

Mom came to help. Evgenia Shcherbakova took part in the next project. The presentation was practiced on all relatives, arranged a tasting of pies.

Mother's victory brought business 1.2 million rubles of state support. With this money opened a branch in Old Oskol.

Now the entrepreneur has a third point in the Builder. In the future, he plans to launch a franchise in Voronezh and Orel. The most important thing for him is not to lose the quality of his products.
